Should A Person Work? PDF Print E-mail

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the industrious out of it.   You don't multiply wealth by dividing it.   Government cannot give anything to anybody that it doesn't first take from somebody else.  Whenever somebody receives something without working for it, somebody else has to work for it without receiving.  The worst thing that can happen to a nation is for half of the people to get the idea they don't have to work because somebody else will work for them,  and the other half to get the idea that it does no good to work because they don't get to enjoy the fruits of their labor.      - Adrian Rogers 1931 - 2005

What about Temptation, Trials or Testing PDF Print E-mail

In the Greek they all mean the same thing. Yesterday we walked through 1 Corinthians 10:13, and this is one of those Monday Morning after thoughts. From Charles Stanley: "We will face temptation just as the Old Testament saints did, but we do not have to choose disobedience to God. Why?, because the power of sin over us was defeated at the Cross. If we've trusted Christ as our Savior, His spirit lives within us- giving us the power and wisdom to over come sin's impulses so we can obey Him. So whenever you are tempted, ask God to remind you of the terrible consequences that would follow the transgression and to fill your heart with Love and obedience for him-because that is a sure way of escape".

Many, if not all of us have read where Jesus said: I and the Father are one (John 10:30). It was Adrian Rogers who said: deny the trinity and lose your soul, try to understand the trinity and you will lose your mind. Please read the following verses and decide for your self. I've already made up my mind. How about you?

John 10:33

God gave us six adults to baptize this last Sunday. Obeying the Lord Jesus, and His Word, are the building blocks for spiritual success in this life. This same Jesus that went back into heaven will come again and take us home to be with Him forever. Hallelujah.

Coach John Wooden

"Be more concerned about your character than your reputation."

Character is what you really are, whereas reputation is merely what others think you are.

His fathers advice:

"Be true to yourself, help others, make each day your

masterpiece, make friendship a fine art, drink deeply

from good books especially the Bible, build a shelter

against a rainy day, give thanks for your blessings and

pray for guidance every day."
