Evangelist Junior Hill PDF Print E-mail

A saved southern gentleman is probably a good way to describe Junior Hill. He has been living and preaching the gospel for many years. He remind us of the trials that God allows into our lives that we might mirror Jesus. Let's face it- if we can't look like Jesus, then we have no reason to be here.

At a recent Pastor's Conference in Jacksonville, Florida he brought a Holy Spirit inspired message from Psalm 37:1-4.

He gave a great statement for us to put in the fly leaf of our Bibles: "If you ever get your desires before your delight, then when you get your desires there will be no delight".

Thank you Heavenly Father for Men like Junior Hill who delight in you.

Philippians 4:11-12

A Warning from: William Booth PDF Print E-mail

In college the professor would warn us about always being just one generation away from paganism, or perhaps a better term- godless society. Someone has said that the greatest evangelist would be a person that could come back to us from hell. That person would testify to us about the terror and brokenheartedness of that place. Can they come back or communicate with us? No. Luke 16:26. Do we need someone to come from there? No. Abraham told the man in hell that we have Moses and the prophets. Translation: We have the Bible and preachers. Luke 16: 29.

Todays devotional at lwf.org shares with us the following warning:

William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, said, “The chief danger of the 20th century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and Heaven without Hell.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Friend Jesus loves you. How do I know this? Calvary.

Someone has said that death and taxes are a given, and yet I know verified by the Holy Spirit and the Bible there there is more. Someday those who have asked Jesus to save them will be ushered in to His presence. Wow, what a wonderful promise. I've read the lyrics where someone discovered they had only a limited time left on earth, due to some unforeseen issue.

If that happened to you or me we would probably do a lot of reevaluating our current condition and situation. For me I think I would look at my priorities and make sure that I've made the first things first. By that I mean I would make sure I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Peter says: we should work on our self-discipline or priorities. And then he says that we should make our love for the saints both fervent and a top shelf item.  If James says the fervent prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much, then just try to imagine how much fervent prayer for the saints will accomplish. Peter then tells us to do common sense things that help the saints that are in need.

The most natural answer is He alone is God in the flesh. But there are verses that build upon this truth. They are

2 Corinthians 5:21

Hebrews 4:15

1 John 3:5

Hebrews 7:26

Isaiah 53:9

May we always ask ourselves the following questions:

1) The decisions I make: How will they impact others for Christ?
2) The words that I use:  How will they demonstrate love to others?
3) The prayers that I pray: How will they make me a tender shoot/ a root coming up from a parched ground.
.........too honor the Lamb...............Jesus
Isaiah 53:2
