How Long Is Eternity? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Pastor Garner

The time we spend on the earth is like a drop of water in the sea, when we consider the length of eternity. Dr Rogers would say- Eternity is too long to be wrong. So, what do we do? Simply turn to Jesus with faith. Ephesians 2: 8-10

Just tell Him, with faith, that you want Him to come in and take over your life. He love you more than anyone else in history. He does not want you to spend eternity without Him, and in hell.  2 Peter 3:9

After you ask Jesus to take over your life; or ask Him to save you, which ever is easier to understand, go and find a New Testament Church. Tell them of your decision to trust Christ and your desire to follow Him. Ask them to baptize you and help you grow in Christ. Also, invite your family and friends to trust Jesus.

Here are some verses to help you  Romans 3:23     Romans 5:8     Romans 6: 23  Romans 10:9-10  Romans 10:13

If you read this blog, please know that I have prayed for you. Hallelujah.

So How lone is eternity? Too Long to be wrong!

The Holy Spirit of God led Jesus out into the wilderness so that he might be tempted/tried by Satan. The Bible says that Jesus was hungry after fasting for 40 days and nights. Satan encouraged and challenged Him to turn a rock into bread. Now look at Jesus' response in Matthew 4:4,"'But He answered and said, "It is written, man shall not live by Bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"
Does every person need to hear about Jesus?  Romans 10:17
Does the Old Testament talk about the importance of the Bible and it's impact ? Isaiah 55:11
Does the New Testament also talk about the importance and impact of studying God's word? 2 Timothy3:16
A New Testament Church is described as a group of Christians who receive their strength, power, purpose, and salvation through Jesus Christ.
Does the New Testament church do away or set-aside the Old Testament? Matthew 5: 17-18
Do the Nations of the world need to listen to and obey God? Proverbs 14:34

When you read the title, the first thing that probably comes to mind is Matthew. But, we shall wait for God's timing regarding young Matthew.

I was reading an Adrian Rogers devo today and it really blessed my heart. I'm a fan of acronyms; and here is one for P.O.P

Presence: We need to begin each day by asking the Holy Spirit to fill us. Now if you already know Christ the Holy Spirit is in you. So I actually mean ask Him to control you. And we really need to ask Him to do this each and every day. As we serve Him, the Holy Spirit is going to empower us for the glory of Christ. Matthew 28:20

Optimism: These are difficult times for our nation; and the world for that matter. So where do we find optimism? In Christ Jesus and no-one else.  John14:6 Paul said, that he had learned to be content. Philippians 4: 11-12 In all of this we realize the sovereignty of God. Meaning- He is in control. Meaning- He will have the last word. 1 Corinthians 10:13 God gave the children of Israel Manna from heaven. Exodus 16:4 within that effort there is a timing issue. Move your cursor over that verse and read some more of the chapter at see how His timing effect us. 1 John 4:4 says it best.

Power: Paul also says- I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 within that effort is the understanding that as we prioritize Him in our lives, only a daily basis, He will take care of "the rest of the story" as Paul Harvey would say. Matthew 6:33
