Eph 6:18 says.......With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance for all the saints.

In this verse, prayer in the Greek means general request; whereas, petition means those that are specific.

Scripture teaches and suggests the following ways to pray: silently, publicly, loud cries, soft whispers, deliberate or spontaneously, sitting, standing, kneeling, laying down, at home, in church, while working, traveling, hands folded or raised, eyes opened or closed, head bowed, or erect.

Both Testaments mention many forms, circumstances, and postures, but it doesn't prescribe any. Translation: there's no set way to pray.

Note: the most powerful praying will seem to come in your private time with God.
